58. Black-Winged Stilt (Juvenile)

We were sitting by the river Bhaga in Jispa happy to have the sun out after two days of very cold rain. And here comes this beautiful, slender, tall bird wading in the shallow parts of the river. At first I wondered if it was the Avocet but the beak is too straight. The greyish back and sandy hue on the wings, with light feather fringes mark the juvenile from the adult.
